Synopsis:
In 1829, the initial Chinese immigrants arrived in Western Australia alongside British settlers. Despite a welcoming start, Chinese immigrants faced hostility after 1901. "The Chung Wah Association," formed in 1910, played a pivotal role for a century, fostering Chinese culture and building goodwill between the Chinese and local communities.
